Tucson Rappelling Trips
Experience three hours of thrilling rappels with beautiful views of the expansive Tucson valley below! This trip takes place on Mount Lemmon at 6600ft in the cooler mountain air.
What is rappelling?
Rappelling is the controlled descent of a steep slope by moving down a rope. You are in full control of your own movement and rate of descent, but your certified guide will always have you attached to a back-up safety line.
This is a choose-your-own-adventure style trip— we have options for shorter, easier rappels to ease into the experience, as well as 100+ foot ones for the adventurous.
What Makes Tucson Rappelling Special
This is one of the most accessible outdoor adventures in Southern Arizona. In just three hours, you’ll learn how to rappel confidently in a beautiful setting and walk away with photos to remember the trip by. The primary rappelling spot is a very short hike from the parking area, which makes this trip great for people wanting to dip their toes into mountain adventure without too much commitment.
This trip is easily customizable. For families and large groups, we generally stay at the same cliff and try out the different rappels available, all varying in length and exposure. For anyone wanting to step it up a notch, we will make a short hike to some of the larger and more exposed crags. Despite being our most entry-level offering, the Scenic Rappelling trip is one of the more adventurous outdoor activities available in Tucson.
After You Book
After you book, your guide will contact you two days prior to the trip to introduce themselves and touch base.
