Our Guides.

Benjamin Elliot • Owner

Ben first discovered his love for climbing while attending college in the Pacific Northwest, spending his days climbing in Squamish, Leavenworth, and other crags nestled in the shadows of the Cascades. He moved to Tucson in 2009 and has been living, guiding, and climbing in the towering ranges of the Sonoran Desert ever since.

Aaron Mike • Lead Guide

Aaron is a Dinè (Navajo) athlete and veteran rock climbing guide with training from the American Mountain Guides Association and the Wilderness Medical Institute. He has amassed a wealth of area-specific climbing knowledge over the two decades that he has been climbing in the Tucson area.

Michael Stilson • Climbing and Canyon Guide

Since finding himself stationed in Tucson five years ago, Michael has enjoyed all the sport, trad, and multipitch climbing that the Southwest has to offer. Whether Red Rocks, J Tree or Mt. Lemmon he's not overly picky, although his favorite area is Cochise Stronghold, home to chicken heads and great weather. Michael received his PCGI TR Guide Certification and Wilderness First Aid so he can share his love for climbing and adventure with the Tucson community.

Josh Butcher • Apprentice Guide • Team Photographer

Josh is an experienced adventure photographer and apprentice guide who's taken his passion for photography and love for the mountains and melded them into one. His recent move to Tucson has allowed him to gain more experience in the mountains of Southern Arizona and provided him the unique opportunity to join the Altitude Mountain Guides team and share his experience in photography and the outdoors with others.

Daly Foncree - Climbing Guide

Daly first developed her passion for climbing in the mountains of Tennessee on the Cumberland Plateau. Climbing has guided HER for the past seven years, racking up pitches in Yosemite, Moab, and Lovers Leap to name a favorite few. A wilderness EMT, Daly guides hiking and river trips in the Grand Canyon in addition to her climbing guide work in Tucson.
